Brice Church Preschool is a voluntary participant in the Step Up to Quality program which is sponsored by Ohio Department of Education and Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.  This program insures that our preschool exceeds the minimum standards in the following ways:

            lower teacher/child ratio

            increased teacher in-service hours

            teachers are familiar with Ohio Early Learning Content Standards

It is our goal to provide the love, warmth, comfort and encouragement each child needs to develop into what he/she is meant to become.

Our Daily Program:

Our daily program consists of activities that are designed to meet the Early Learning Content Standards that are recommended by the Ohio Department of Education.  Each and every day our teachers will provide activities based on the social, cognitive, spiritual, emotional and physical needs of the children in the program.  They will plan their day to include art, music, science, dramatic play, language arts and math.  Snacks, story time, indoor and outdoor play will also be included in our day.  Our teachers are fully aware of and believe in the four part philosophy set by the Ohio Department of Education.  They believe that:

            All children are born ready to learn

            Relationships are influential

            Environments matter

Communication is critical

Therefore, we will always provide two qualified staff members in each classroom.  Each class size will be limited to 12 or 14 children depending on their ages.  We always encourage parent interaction with staff throughout the year and provide opportunities such as field trips, mom's and dad's day, and parent-teacher conferences.  We are available on a daily basis to address any questions about your child's needs and progress.

Registration Procedure

Registration forms are available in the preschool office and should be completed and returned to us with the non-refundable registration fee of $45.00 for Brice Church members, church constituents and returning preschool families and the $70.00 fee for non-members.  The director will send an enrollment packet in the early summer with necessary forms.  These need to be completed and returned, along with the first and last month's tuition, by the date noted in the letter.

Classes Offered:

We provide preschool programs for children ages 3 to 5.

Morning Sessions

9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Afternoon Sessions

12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Literacy Lab

 For those children who are enrolled in our Monday, Wednesday, Friday program we will be offering an additional class on Tuesdays.  The class will focus on early reading, early writing, and language art skills.  It will be a chance to reinforce the skills that will be offered in our Monday, Wednesday, Friday classes currently.

Monthly Tuition Fees for the 2008-2009 School Year:

One day per week - $55 per month

Two days per week -*$100 per month

Three days per week - $130 per month

Three days per week plus literacy lab-$170

Tuition for September and May is due by August 1st.

Tuition paid in full by August 1st will receive a 5% discount.

Entrance Guidelines

Children entering preschool must be potty trained and independent in their toileting skills.

Classes offered:

 - Wednesday mornings

      Young 3 year olds ~ Must be 3 years old by December 31

- Tuesday/Thursday

        3 & 4 year olds ~ Must be 3 years old by September 30

- Tuesday/Thursday afternoon only

        4 & 5 year olds ~ Must be 4 years old by September 30

 - Monday/Wednesday/Friday

        4 & 5 year olds ~ Must be 4 years old by September 30

-Monday/Wednesday/Friday plus literacy lab

        4 & 5 year olds~ Must be 5 years old by May 31
