Our journey on God’s path is varied and amazing. My name is Pastor Nick and I am truly blessed to be the lead pastor at Brice United Methodist Church and the campus pastor at Brice Christian Academy (BCA). I have a truly wonderful wife, Renee and four spunky and fun boys – Harrison, Porter, Simon, & Corbin. Last fall when I started my new position here at the church and school, my children also started attending school at BCA.
A little background - My family and I returned from being missionaries abroad serving in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2020. While we had planned on being there for 3 years, we returned after only 14 months. We served at a small Christian school in both teaching and administration roles. It was a crazy adventure - in that short time we lived in 5 different locations, learned parts of multiple languages, visited 5 African countries, make loads of new friends, had car problems and were stranded in another country for over a week, evacuated with less than a 1 day notice, and so much more. Through all of it we saw the hand of God care for and guide us, we learned what we were capable of and most importantly how powerful Jesus’ love for us really is.
Before Congo I have pastored at 3 other churches in central Ohio. I received my Master of Divinity degree in 2018 from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio, and I have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Miami University.
I grew up in the greater Cincinnati area where my parents and sister still live. I was not raised in church but had the opportunity at 15 to begin attending a small rural church with a friend. Quickly that church became an extended family that would guide me. I was baptized at 16 and began feeling a call to ministry. However, it would not be until my early 30’s that I would begin to accept that calling and start the process of pursuing the call. I accepted my first appointment on June 1st, 2015 and have been on this wild and crazy ride ever since. 😊
Over and over again Jesus has stepped into my life with radical grace and love, and I am so happy to get the opportunity to share my story and more importantly, God’s story with all of you.
Blessings…
